This week’s graphic illustrator caught my eye because of his unique style of transitioning from moustached pink cupcakes to haunted houses, beasts and dragons. He has a chameleon like style and sometimes gives you the impression that two different people draw his designs. He is actually a versatile artist that captures both innocence and monstrosity in their naked states. One minute you think he creates for kindergarten book covers and the next he redefines the grim of unimaginable closet monsters.
Brian Cook was born in Portland. He is a freelance illustrator and works with all kinds of designs: logos, book illustration, graphic designs but admits a soft spot for children’s book, actually working on one of his own. He’s featured on Threadless with many printed designs, and has portfolios on all important sites like society6 or Behance. And of course on Facebook.
