Artist of the week – t-shirt and tattoo designs from Gaunty

Gaunty’s real name is Colin Gauntlett and he is a very versatile artist that has been exploring all kinds of arts along the years. Thanks to his globetrotting ways he oriented himself towards the 2D form of art offered by the internet, after widely experimenting with the 3D version.

His style has varied from tattoo designs to 80′s colorful shapes with the touch if his personality of course. He’s had some great collaborations with bands like All American Rejects, AJ Rafael or companies like 8 Bit Zombie, Hot Topic, Miles to Go, Woot Shirt and sites from the business like Designbyhumans, Go Merch, Loviu, RIPT, Tilteed and many others.

His style is easily recognizable, finding inspiration everywhere from nature, other illustrators or sculpture. His favorite medium to work stays the 2D. He says to really enjoy Bolivia, where he is currently living and is omnipresent on dribble, mintees and on portfolio sites like Behance, Society6 or Foalio.
