Drew Beckmeyer was born in 1982 in Santa Monica .He followed the Art Center College of Design,BFA illustration,Santa Monica College. Over the time he became a well known artist , his work being very valued:American Illustration 26 in 2007 and Phil Hays Memorial Scholarship in 2006.
Drew Beckmeyer creates quirky paintings that fuse visuals from different times and spaces, often pairing unexpected scenes with seemingly personal and historical references. They are both charming and mysterious works that teeter between whimsical and ominous.

A way to identify with something I normally wouldn’t have the opportunity to or wouldn’t want to.
