The thing about graphic design is that it needs resources in order for the designer to do a great job. Yeah, you can invent your own trade tools, but, at the end of the day, the most important thing about it is to do it quick and nice. And, when you invent it yourself, it could be very nice, but not that quick.
So, graphic designers need all sort of tools, from free vectors, bought vectors, and of course, the most important thing, they need brushes. Brushes have a way of helping them getting the job done. Imagine you would like to make a wonderful graphic design with some really cool background. Wouldn’t that be nice? What do you do in this case? Really now? Well, it is simple! You follow the sites that provide such brushes and download them.
But, whatever you do, please take notice that most artists who create such brushes for Photoshop have a set of rules for their use. Therefore, you should be careful with the legal part. You cannot use a certain brush or set of brushes if the author specified you should only use them for personal activities.
The guys from 22pixels have a wonderful collection of free Photoshop brushes, and I must admit that I really loved what I saw. Brushes for everyone and surely for every type of design existing. As I said, you can download Mystic Art Brushes, Rise Brushes, Tags Brushes (my personal faves of the set), Smoke Brushes, Cold Fushion Brushes, Random Grunge, Vander90, Drawn Flourish and so on.
If you’d like to see more, you should check the whole site. It really became a big source of inspiration. Not only for me, but for everyone around. And you know us. We, at Tshirt-Factory, have a thing for designing, vectors, art and mostly t-shirt designs! So, let’s hear it and draw it, you guys!
