Slow Loris started in a humble way, in the basement garage of an old cannery building, in Oakland, California in the spring of 1997. Slow Loris cool new t-shirts ! Re-locating to Guemes Island, the owners screen printed drawings onto t-shirts, paper and clothing for people around the world, and for touring bands like TV on the Radio, My Brightest Diamond, Karl Blau and The Lonely Forest.
Jessica, one of the owners, teamed up with Arlo Rumpff and taught him how to screen print. Now he models most of the shirts on the web site and deals with a lot of the business side of Slow Loris.
This balanced duo draws and prints in a solar powered studio, reflecting their motto “feeling strong and not in a hurry” which is what’s made the t-shirts good quality, detailed oriented and long-lasting in the past 13 years.
