Being Geek Chic for a good cause

Geek  Chic at  ” Geek 2 Chic “

We are talking about a really interesting event taht Microsoft and Bloomingdale’s have joined forces to organize. A fashion event that is not actually about fashion but about promoting programs for young people and inspire them to stay in school for  a better, brighter future.

This event was first launched last year and it was held in Washington DC and has evolved sine into a national campaign in the United States. This year’s experience took place on the 2nd of November, in The Windy City – Chicago. All of the proceeds from ticket sales go  to  Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, a nonprofit started out of New York City in 1987. The price of the ticked ranged between $35 and $65 for VIPs. What is more 10% of the ticket sales went directly to NFTE.

And what is cool is the fact that the models are actual geeks from Microsoft, Groupon, Aol-Huffington Post Media Group and many other companies strutting in the latest fall and winter fashions from Hugo Boss, Armani, Ralph Lauren and from many other top designer houses. Now these are some cool, trendy geeks:
