Graphic t-shirt and LaFraise Sweatshirt
What do ya know? Just in time for my birthday – a very cool sweatshirt from LaFraise, one of my absolutely favorite graphic t-shirt communities in the world. It couldn’t have come at a better time.
Let me get straight to the point – I was pleasantly surprised by the colors of the print, which look better than they do on the site. The print is also smooth and soft – I found that very interesting, since I “live’ in a print shop that does DTG printing and this one felt different. It seems thick but oh, so soft and kind of stretchy.
What I also loved were the cute info tags about the textile care instructions and why the products may smell weird. They print the design directly into the fabric (DTG comes from “direct to garment”) and in order to make the ink stick you have to spray it with a special solution to make it adhere to the textile for a longer time, which is where the smell comes from. I saw the tags first and thought this was just a fun way to present the products, but boy was I wrong. The moment I opened the package the vinegary smell hit me. But I gently rinsed the sweatshirt at 30 degrees, with the design on the inside, without tumble drying it. I just left it to dry on its own and the smell was totally gone.
I also got a cute little LaFraise sticker – I got all girlie for it and made the experience all the more pleasant.
The sweatshirt is from Stanley & Stella and it’s very comfortable, with extra-long sleeves and a fit cut.
Now, of course I can surely recommend you to get yourself a nice, funny, adorable or sarcastic t-shirt from LaFraise. I feel almost relieved that I wasn’t disappointed by their product so that I can continue loving their awesome site and prints.
