Artist and designer Justin Finkelman chased this passion for drawing and art all the way to The University of Michigan where he studied Art and Design while simultaneously working on building clothing lines. One of his biggest projects was STROKE STREETWEAR, an urban streetwear line that made it into many of Detroit’s biggest boutiques and collaborated with many upcoming artists such as Wiz Kahlifa, Mike Posner, Big Sean and more.
This experience taught Justin about designing for shirts, the tee business and sprung interest for the screen printing industry. This is when his path crossed with Fitness Wear; after working very closely with the owners for a few months, Justin bought the company. He didn’t focus solely on athletic gear, but mixed sophisticated design, social media, innovative marketing and a passion for custom work.
He expanded the audience past schools and gave the brand a makeover by redesigning the logo, website and mission statement.
Now Fitness Wear focuses their design and printing on athletics, businesses, artists, events, organizations and more. With professional knowledge of design and production, it offers customers – very big companies and small artists alike – exactly what they want, helping them create something unique.
