Aaron Andrews Apparel was established in the dorms of Northern Illinois University. The clothing line wants to bring a breath of fresh air into the urban apparel industry. The brand”s purpose is to encourage you to achieve your dreams, by referencing the owner”s experience in community service. His name is Aaron Westbrook and he is determined to bring to your attention the importance and value of giving back to the community and to inspiring youth and peers to dream big and have a clear vision about your purpose.
The clothing line has motivated Aaron to be a guest speaker at various community events including the African American Heritage Board of Aurora, and to continuously lend his
time to motivating students at his former middle school, Granger, in Aurora. All efforts to make a difference in the community through his business has led him to be acknowledged as a Phenomenal man of the year (2011) in his hometown of Aurora, and secure a nomination by his university as a Who”s Who Amongst Students: colleges and universities upon graduation. Aaron”s involvement in this area is beyond dedication – it”s social responsibility and care for the future of next generations. He talks the talk AND walks the walk!
Aaron Andrews Apparel has been featured in numerous publications including campus newspaper; Northern Star, campus magazine; Lifeline, online blogs; Stylistic Vision,
Stayfreshonline, and TheGoodieBag Kingston. “Many clothing companies stamp their logos on shirts with different graphic effects and call it a design… There is no underlying meaning or concept behind designs these days” says Aaron in an interview in 2010.”
The clothing line is expected to expand into other facets of the industry and make the clothing line a global brand. Needless to say Aaron wants to make a lasting impression on fashion and in the community, most of all by setting an example worth following.
The Whitetail Collection is the new signature line with a mature design and subtle color options to provide complimentary pieces to all wardrobes. Each shirt provides a message with versatility, not forgetting about the importance of quality garments – the designs look youthful, well executed and the Lookbook is just excellent to give you an idea about the urban style that Aaron Andrews Apparel can bring to your wardrobe. The two design that I love are “Dreamcatcher” and “Whitetail” logo. I was totally surprised by the prices: the most expensive item is the Crewneck with $35 which seems pretty decent.
Whitetail Logo: The first logo release of the Whitetail collection, the aA deer. Made in collaboration with Designs by Gaunty, this logo takes inspiration from the first logo featuring the small a”s in the eyes of the deer and the larger A to create the mouth.
Dream Catcher: Another addition to the “Dream Series”. This mature design draws inspiration from the native Indian artifact that stores ones dreams until it comes to fruition. An elegant two color print featuring the brand and Whitetail collection was developed in exclusive collaboration with Designs by Gaunty.
Dream Chaser: The first release in the “Dream Series” is an inspired piece that features a track runner crossing the finish line and achieving his goal of winning the race; in order to achieve one must dream. This summer they are re-releasing the Dream Chaser design in the same available colors (white, coral, light blue). Made in another exclusive collaboration with Designs by Gaunty.
